Home Learning

If you need to self-isolate we have set work for you by clicking on the tab on the right.  If we close a bubble or experience a local area or national lockdown, we will set regular work here for distance learning.  Please do as much learning as suits you as a family.  So much learning happens from spending time with your children and doing things around the house (cooking, gardening) so take the time to enjoy these things together.

Please click on your year-group tab to see work set by class teachers.

If you wish to contact your class teacher, you can do this via brook@loose-primary.kent.sch.uk or orchard@loose-primary.kent.sch.uk and your message will be forwarded to them for you.  They will get back to you as soon as they can.

Just to keep you busy, please see below some generic useful websites and activities below and in the Picture News tab to the right.

My Maths - Years 1 to 6

Please ensure that when your child logs onto MyMaths that they also log into their portal (using their unique username and password) in order to complete the work that has been assigned to them by their teacher. If they don't log in to their portal, they will not be completing work set by their teacher and therefore could be completing work that is either too hard or too easy for them.

Writing Tasks Years 1-6

Pie Corbett, a former headteacher and author has created a pack of free resources for primary school children to use at home during these unprecedented times, all with the focus of getting children to write more at home. Please see the link below to access the plans; they are also on our school website and our twitter feed. They are definitely worth a look and are incredibly easy to follow!

Computing - Purple Mash (Years 1 – 6) Mini Mash (Reception)

When using Purple Mash please ensure that your child selects ‘Find my school’s login page’ first. They will then be able to enter their username and password and access any tasks that have been set by their class teacher or they can explore resources on the site independently.
